The land to the east of Wreyland Down contains 11 acres of unspoilt countriside and includes two of Dartmoor’s lesser known tors: Long Tor and Lox Tor. This beautiful corner of Devon is steeped in history and is notably home to the original “Old May Rock” where the names of Lustleigh’s May Queens were engraved up until the Second World War.
Although the whole area is private property with no public rights of way, the owners are keen to connect with like-minded nature lovers, conservationists, historians, hikers, and dog walkers from the local community. If that’s you, please do get in touch using the email at the top of this page, or if you’re walking along Hatherley Lane and see us wrestling with brambles or boulders, please feel free say hello!
